BioModels is committed to the ethical and responsible use of animals in research and follows all US federal laws and regulations. BioModels’ complies with The Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals and adheres to its principles and standards for animal research. Key tenants of this compliance ensure use the 3Rs (Replacement, Reduction, Refinement), trained veterinary care, use of qualified staff, as well as the use of an Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) to review and ensure all research protocols are conducted with scientific and ethical relevance and minimize animal pain and distress. If there are ever concerns with BioModels’ adherence to these research policies, we encourage open communication with the parties involved.
